As we approach the Christmas holiday I wanted to share with you something that has stuck with me for several years. It was a common saying from a Godly man that made an impact on my life during my early years. We called him “Uncle Pete” – he was a very joyful man and loved telling others about Jesus. One of his sayings was the word JOY, which stood for, Jesus, others, and you!
What a great truth!
Jesus said in Matthew 22:37-39 “37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
During this time of year let our focus be on JOY…on our Savior Jesus first and others second.
Let our words, actions, and deeds be our proof of our Joy!
Do something this week for someone that they cannot repay you.
God Bless,
Rick
